Volunteers are at the heart of the Woodland Toy Library. All aspects of the Library are run by volunteers, from keeping the Library staffed during open hours, to serving on the Board, to outreach via participation in local family-friendly events.
One advantage to volunteering one 90-minute shift per month is free membership! Your children are very welcome to come and play while you volunteer – there’s plenty to keep them occupied while you check toys in and out for Library patrons, straighten shelves, and answer phone calls.
We also need help throughout the year for special projects and/or events. Managing the inventory is a big job, so many hands make light work. The annual Rummage Sale fundraiser is a big event for us and brings in needed funds to keep the Library operating. The weeks leading up are very busy, from sorting and pricing items to advertising, and the sale days need a lot of participation to set up, sell, and clean up.
Middle- and high-school students looking for community service and leadership class opportunities can volunteer, too. we are always on the lookout for bright, dedicated students to help with assorted tasks to support the library.

I just became a member of the toy library a couple weeks ago. I was interested in becoming a volunteer. I was supposed to receive an e-mail with information about volunteering but never received it. Perhaps my e-mail address was incorrect? Could you please send me the information. Thank you!
